Review of Gabrielle Bernstein’s 21 Day Manifesting Challenge: Start The New Year Off With Clarity

Many of us often ponder what we hope the new year will have in store for us. Whether we set these visions as goals or resolutions going forward. We create vision boards and SMART goals. We may create a Pinterest dream board or purchase a new course. This year I chose something different. I chose to do a manifesting challenge. This is not as easy as it sounds. After all, it is called a challenge for a reason.

There’s something profound about starting a new year. Whether we take the time to reflect at the end of the year, or perhaps envision what the new year may bring, there is a sense of hope the new numerical year bestows.

I am a long-time reader of Gabrielle Bernstein’s books and have named her as one of my top 4 female authors. I follow her on social media. I saw that she was putting on a 21-day manifestation challenge, and signed up immediately.

What is Manifesting?

Manifesting gets this whimsical reputation. Manifesting is not the same as fantasizing. Although, fantasizing is a part of the process. It’s not naïvely, attempting to speak things into existence.

Manifesting is a different way or an additional layer to bring your goals to fruition through a mindset and energetic shift.

With any manifestation technique, you would typically begin with stating what your goal is. What is is that you want to manifest? Is it a new career, income level, romantic relationship, familial relationship, having a child, buying a home, physical health, etc.?

You typically want to focus on one goal at a time as to not spread yourself too thin and/or lose focus.

A lot of manifestation methods will use some sort of visualization technique, whether through journal prompts or guided meditations. You may come across questions like how do you want to feel when you reach this goal? The idea is to capture this ideal feeling, then to “act as if.” When you act as if you have already achieved this goal, the more probable you are to take actions to get there. Some may call this the law of attraction, but I believe that it’s so much more than that.

Gabby Coaching App to access the manifesting challenge and coaching membership

What makes Gabby’s 21-day manifesting challenge different?

Gabrielle Bernstein‘s 21-day manifesting challenge had me doing much more than daydreaming. This challenge had me facing my shadows and working with my spirit guides.

How is the manifesting challenge structured?

The Gabby’s manifesting challenge begins on the 1st of January. However, if you find yourself signing up a little later than that, there’s usually a grace period for you to catch up.

The challenge is provided via the Gabby Coaching App. This app is available on both the Apple App store and Google Play on your mobile device. On this app, you will also be able to sign up for the other quarterly challenges Gabby provides. If you are really committed, you can sign up for her full coaching membership on this app and get weekly coaching from her as well.

There is 1 lesson each day in the 21-day manifesting challenge. Within each lesson, there is a short audio lecture, an audio guided meditation and journal prompts. Each journal prompt is saved on your app, so you can always come back to a journal entry if you need to.

If you sign up late or miss a day, I would suggest doing 2-a-days. Meaning, do 2 lessons a day until you are caught up. I had to do this a couple times because I am a human and live a busy human life. I suggest doing 1 lesson in the morning and 1 lesson at night.

What kind of work can I expect from this manifesting challenge?

I don’t want to spoil the challenge for you, but I will give you a general idea of what we work on.

You first work on defining your goal. She guides you on getting clear on what it is you desire, but with an open minded approach. She does this through her lectures, guided meditation, visualization and journal prompts.

Check out my personal Desire Statement:

I desire to manifest my dream career.
I am a digital creative producer. I have a thriving blog and creative online shops which brings in an abundant 5 figures each month. The brands I collaborate with are in alignment with my values and lifestyle so that my authenticity prevails.

Throughout the challenge, you may feel challenged. I know I did. What I mean by this is, you might face certain thoughts, feelings or behaviors that block you from believing in yourself. Some people call this shadow work. The shadow work is imperative because if we cannot face what’s in our way, then how do we expect to navigate through to our dreams. I had to face all kinds of self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors or else there would be no sustainable way for me to move forward. Gabby guides you throughout the challenge on how to reconcile with these blocks

You can expect more nuanced work like incorporating gratitude, how to ask for a sign and how to connect with your spirit guides. It can get pretty heady, but stick with it. You’ll be glad you did.

My opinion…

Overall, Gabby Bernstein’s 21-day manifesting challenge was a positive and impactful experience. I recommend this challenge to anyone who wants more for themselves.

Initially, there were some problems with the way the mobile app worked. When I told her team about these problems, they solved them very quickly, in just a week. It was really nice to see how they paid attention to what I, as a user, had to say and made the necessary changes immediately.

I appreciate that the lessons are short. As many of us have busy lives, these time efficient sessions were easy to commit to. I love that the journal entries are accessible at anytime for when I need to reference back on certain statements that I made to myself.

What made the challenge even more enjoyable was doing it with a like-minded friend. Whenever one of us had an inspiring moment, we would call each other up to share and hold space for each other.

Through Gabby’s guidance, I got clear on my vision, worked through my self-sabotaging behaviors, reconnected to my spirit guides, set boundaries and opened up my heart to bigger possibilities. I want to extend my gratitude to Gabby and her team for gifting me with the clarity I very much needed.

I look forward to continuing with the Gabby coaching membership and doing more quarterly challenges.
